# Baims vs CBC Highlands

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CBC Highlands at none against Baims's 41. CBC Highlands also leads on iOS requirement (12.2 vs 15.0). Baims's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (2K vs 6). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Baims sells 41 one-off in-app purchases. CBC Highlands asks for nothing beyond the download.

Baims holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Baims has 2K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Baims ships an update weekly, CBC Highlands every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
