# 9Cut vs 文心

The clearest difference is rating: 9Cut at 4.3 against 文心's 2.6. 文心's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (33% vs 0%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 9Cut sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and 文心 sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

9Cut holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 文心 has 165 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of 9Cut's written reviews are positive against 33% of 文心's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

9Cut ships an update every 6 weeks, 文心 every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
