# HawkEyes vs Home Security Camera App

The clearest difference is rating: Home Security Camera App at 4.4 against HawkEyes's 3.3. Home Security Camera App also leads on ratings volume (4.7K vs 3) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 2 months). HawkEyes's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 27%) and in-app purchases (none vs 9). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Home Security Camera App sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. HawkEyes asks for nothing beyond the download.

Home Security Camera App holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Home Security Camera App has 4.7K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of HawkEyes's written reviews are positive against 27% of Home Security Camera App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HawkEyes ships an update every 2 months, Home Security Camera App every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
