# Superbars Pro vs Icon Changer

The clearest difference is monetization model: Superbars Pro at free with in-app purchases against Icon Changer's subscription. Icon Changer's advantage is ratings volume (7.5K vs 83) and rating (4.4 vs 4.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Superbars Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Icon Changer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Icon Changer holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Icon Changer has 7.5K ratings behind it against 83, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of Superbars Pro's written reviews are positive against 45% of Icon Changer's.

Superbars Pro ships an update every 3 weeks, Icon Changer every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
