# Quartermaster vs Diem

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Diem at 551 against Quartermaster's 3. Diem also leads on rating (4.0 vs 3.7) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.4). Quartermaster's advantage is review sentiment (44% vs 36%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Diem holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Diem has 551 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of Quartermaster's written reviews are positive against 36% of Diem's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Quartermaster ships an update fortnightly, Diem every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
