# Quartermaster vs TMC Alarm +

The clearest difference is rating: TMC Alarm + at 4.8 against Quartermaster's 3.7. TMC Alarm + also leads on ratings volume (984 vs 3) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TMC Alarm + holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TMC Alarm + has 984 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of Quartermaster's written reviews are positive against 41% of TMC Alarm +'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Quartermaster ships an update every 2 weeks, TMC Alarm + every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
