# Maphi vs Animath

The clearest difference is ads: Animath at none against Maphi's shown. Animath also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly) and ratings volume (221 vs 39). Maphi's advantage is review sentiment (93% vs 74%) and iOS requirement (10 vs 16.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Maphi sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month and Animath sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Maphi against 4.6 for Animath. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Animath has 221 ratings behind it against 39, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 93% of Maphi's written reviews are positive against 74% of Animath's.

Maphi ships an update fortnightly, Animath every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
