# Psiphon VPN vs TOP VPN

The clearest difference is rating: TOP VPN at 4.5 against Psiphon VPN's 3.8. TOP VPN also leads on review sentiment (82% vs 40%) and ads (none vs shown). Psiphon VPN's advantage is ratings volume (8.8K vs 1.3K). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Psiphon VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and TOP VPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TOP VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Psiphon VPN has 8.8K ratings behind it against 1.3K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 40% of Psiphon VPN's written reviews are positive against 82% of TOP VPN's.

Psiphon VPN ships an update every 3 weeks, TOP VPN every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
