# Amazon Relay vs CARSYNC

The clearest difference is rating: Amazon Relay at 4.7 against CARSYNC's 3.6. Amazon Relay also leads on ratings volume (106K vs 5). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Amazon Relay holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Amazon Relay has 106K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of Amazon Relay's written reviews are positive against 43% of CARSYNC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Amazon Relay ships an update fortnightly, CARSYNC weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
