# CMES vs Alea Randomisation

The clearest difference is update cadence: Alea Randomisation at every 6 weeks against CMES's every 11 months. Alea Randomisation also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CMES ships an update every 11 months, Alea Randomisation every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
