# Sofa vs NoteOnly

The clearest difference is review sentiment: NoteOnly at 100% against Sofa's 60%. NoteOnly also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 12) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Sofa's advantage is ratings volume (3.1K vs 1) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sofa sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. NoteOnly asks for nothing beyond the download.

NoteOnly holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sofa has 3.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 60% of Sofa's written reviews are positive against 100% of NoteOnly's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
