# Thrift Giant vs Cidercade

The clearest difference is rating: Thrift Giant at 4.6 against Cidercade's 4.1. Thrift Giant also leads on ratings volume (199 vs 16). Cidercade's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 11 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Thrift Giant holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Thrift Giant has 199 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Thrift Giant's written reviews are positive against 63% of Cidercade's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Thrift Giant ships an update every 11 months, Cidercade every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
