# Garmin Explore™ vs ScoutTrek

Garmin Explore™ and ScoutTrek both sit at 4.2 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of ScoutTrek's written reviews are positive against 46% of Garmin Explore™'s. ScoutTrek also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.4). Garmin Explore™'s advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 6) and chart position (#99 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for Garmin Explore™ against 4.3 for ScoutTrek.
