# Tjing vs HunterCam

The clearest difference is rating: HunterCam at 5.0 against Tjing's 1.8. HunterCam also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.4). Tjing's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tjing sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and HunterCam sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HunterCam holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tjing has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tjing ships an update fortnightly, HunterCam every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
