# Total Wine & More vs DineFive

The clearest difference is monetization model: DineFive at free against Total Wine & More's free with in-app purchases. DineFive also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). Total Wine & More's advantage is ratings volume (123K vs 2) and chart position (#97 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DineFive holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Total Wine & More has 123K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Total Wine & More ships an update fortnightly, DineFive every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
