# Snapthread vs LiveMemories

The clearest difference is rating: LiveMemories at 5.0 against Snapthread's 4.4. Snapthread's advantage is ratings volume (252 vs 1) and review sentiment (69% vs 50%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Snapthread sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and LiveMemories sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LiveMemories holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Snapthread has 252 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of Snapthread's written reviews are positive against 50% of LiveMemories's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Snapthread ships an update monthly, LiveMemories every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
