# Snapthread vs Limory

The clearest difference is rating: Limory at 4.7 against Snapthread's 4.4. Snapthread's advantage is ratings volume (249 vs 6) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Snapthread sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Limory sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Limory holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Snapthread has 249 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Snapthread ships an update monthly, Limory every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
