# Twinkl vs E

The clearest difference is rating: Twinkl at 4.9 against E's 2.8. Twinkl also leads on ratings volume (2.6K vs 13). E's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Twinkl holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Twinkl has 2.6K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Twinkl ships an update every 3 weeks, E fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
