# Twinkl vs Bassem Labs

The clearest difference is monetization model: Bassem Labs at free against Twinkl's free with in-app purchases. Bassem Labs also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks). Twinkl's advantage is ratings volume (2.6K vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Twinkl against 5.0 for Bassem Labs. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Twinkl has 2.6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Twinkl ships an update every 2 weeks, Bassem Labs every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
