# LED DMX vs Magic lamp

The clearest difference is rating: Magic lamp at 5.0 against LED DMX's 1.8. LED DMX's advantage is ratings volume (91 vs 1) and review sentiment (11% vs 0%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Magic lamp holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LED DMX has 91 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 11% of LED DMX's written reviews are positive against 0% of Magic lamp's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LED DMX ships an update every 9 days, Magic lamp every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
