# Ghost Talker vs Ghost detector

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Ghost Talker at 42% against Ghost detector's 0%. Ghost Talker also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 43 months). Ghost detector's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 3.9) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ghost Talker sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 3 months and Ghost detector sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ghost detector holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ghost Talker has 2.2K ratings behind it against 148, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Ghost Talker's written reviews are positive against 0% of Ghost detector's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ghost Talker ships an update every 2 months, Ghost detector every 43 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
