# Ghost Talker vs Ghost Chat

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ghost Chat at every 3 weeks against Ghost Talker's every 2 months. Ghost Chat also leads on review sentiment (58% vs 42%) and iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.0). Ghost Talker's advantage is ratings volume (2.2K vs 129) and rating (3.9 vs 3.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ghost Talker sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 3 months and Ghost Chat sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ghost Talker holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ghost Talker has 2.2K ratings behind it against 129, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Ghost Talker's written reviews are positive against 58% of Ghost Chat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ghost Talker ships an update every 2 months, Ghost Chat every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
