# Helix Road vs Join Clash

The clearest difference is rating: Join Clash at 4.6 against Helix Road's 3.3. Join Clash also leads on ratings volume (397K vs 12). Helix Road's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Helix Road sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Join Clash sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Join Clash holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Join Clash has 397K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Helix Road's written reviews are positive against 40% of Join Clash's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Helix Road ships an update every 2 weeks, Join Clash every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
