# TextPeace vs First Post

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: First Post at none against TextPeace's 1. TextPeace's advantage is update cadence (every 5 months vs every 19 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TextPeace sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. First Post asks for nothing beyond the download.

TextPeace ships an update every 5 months, First Post every 19 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
