# TextPeace vs Polar

The clearest difference is update cadence: Polar at every 5 weeks against TextPeace's every 5 months. TextPeace's advantage is iOS requirement (15.5 vs 17.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TextPeace sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Polar sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $25.00 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
