# SmartRuler vs Meter | متر

The clearest difference is rating: Meter | متر at 4.3 against SmartRuler's 3.6. Meter | متر also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription). SmartRuler's advantage is review sentiment (87% vs 45%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SmartRuler sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Meter | متر sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Meter | متر holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 95 and 127 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 87% of SmartRuler's written reviews are positive against 45% of Meter | متر's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SmartRuler ships an update every 3 weeks, Meter | متر every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
