# TourScope vs PGA Coach

The clearest difference is monetization model: PGA Coach at free against TourScope's subscription. PGA Coach also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 14 months) and ratings volume (74 vs 4). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TourScope holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PGA Coach has 74 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TourScope ships an update every 14 months, PGA Coach every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
