# SuperVPN vs VPN

The clearest difference is ratings volume: VPN at 2.1M against SuperVPN's 3.7K. VPN also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and review sentiment (90% vs 75%). SuperVPN's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SuperVPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for SuperVPN against 4.6 for VPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 2.1M ratings behind it against 3.7K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 75% of SuperVPN's written reviews are positive against 90% of VPN's.

SuperVPN ships an update every 3 weeks, VPN weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
