# SuperVPN vs Free VPN Unlimited

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SuperVPN at 75% against Free VPN Unlimited's 20%. SuperVPN also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.1) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). Free VPN Unlimited's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SuperVPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Free VPN Unlimited sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SuperVPN holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SuperVPN has 3.7K ratings behind it against 580, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 75% of SuperVPN's written reviews are positive against 20% of Free VPN Unlimited's.

SuperVPN ships an update every 3 weeks, Free VPN Unlimited every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
