# UE Custom vs ChannelEqualizer

The clearest difference is rating: ChannelEqualizer at 4.0 against UE Custom's 3.2. UE Custom's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 12 months) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.4). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ChannelEqualizer holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 23 and 22 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of UE Custom's written reviews are positive against 33% of ChannelEqualizer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UE Custom ships an update every 6 weeks, ChannelEqualizer every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
