# Type Fast vs Keywars

The clearest difference is ads: Keywars at none against Type Fast's shown. Type Fast's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 17 months) and ratings volume (521 vs 40). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Type Fast sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Keywars sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Type Fast against 4.3 for Keywars. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Type Fast has 521 ratings behind it against 40, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 63% of Type Fast's written reviews are positive against 67% of Keywars's.

Type Fast ships an update fortnightly, Keywars every 17 months. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and July 19, 2026 respectively.
