# Orcas vs AUC

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Orcas at 64% against AUC's 0%. Orcas also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks) and rating (4.6 vs 4.4). AUC's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Orcas holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Orcas has 257 ratings behind it against 48, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 64% of Orcas's written reviews are positive against 0% of AUC's.

Orcas ships an update every 2 weeks, AUC every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
