# SpotTheSpy vs SpyTracker

The clearest difference is rating: SpyTracker at 4.4 against SpotTheSpy's 3.5. SpyTracker also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (860 vs 90). SpotTheSpy's advantage is review sentiment (46% vs 19%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SpotTheSpy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month and SpyTracker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SpyTracker holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SpyTracker has 860 ratings behind it against 90, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of SpotTheSpy's written reviews are positive against 19% of SpyTracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SpotTheSpy ships an update every 2 months, SpyTracker every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
