# TXT阅读器 vs Summit Reader

The clearest difference is rating: Summit Reader at 4.8 against TXT阅读器's 3.4. Summit Reader also leads on ratings volume (1.3K vs 15). TXT阅读器's advantage is review sentiment (95% vs 86%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TXT阅读器 sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and Summit Reader sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Summit Reader holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Summit Reader has 1.3K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 95% of TXT阅读器's written reviews are positive against 86% of Summit Reader's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TXT阅读器 ships an update every 5 weeks, Summit Reader every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
