# Life Lapse Stop Motion vs FrameWeight

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Life Lapse Stop Motion at 9.5K against FrameWeight's 1. Life Lapse Stop Motion also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). FrameWeight's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Life Lapse Stop Motion sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and FrameWeight sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FrameWeight holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Life Lapse Stop Motion has 9.5K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Life Lapse Stop Motion ships an update every 2 weeks, FrameWeight every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
