# NCVPS vs Grad Ally

The clearest difference is rating: NCVPS at 5.0 against Grad Ally's 3.6. NCVPS also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (monthly vs every 11 months). Grad Ally's advantage is review sentiment (60% vs 25%) and ratings volume (12 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NCVPS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Grad Ally has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of NCVPS's written reviews are positive against 60% of Grad Ally's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NCVPS ships an update monthly, Grad Ally every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
