# NCVPS vs NC State Moodle

The clearest difference is review sentiment: NC State Moodle at 96% against NCVPS's 25%. NC State Moodle also leads on ratings volume (14 vs 1). NCVPS's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 3.7) and update cadence (monthly vs every 14 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NCVPS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NC State Moodle has 14 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of NCVPS's written reviews are positive against 96% of NC State Moodle's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NCVPS ships an update monthly, NC State Moodle every 14 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
