# Jet vs Canal RCN

The clearest difference is rating: Canal RCN at 4.4 against Jet's 3.0. Canal RCN also leads on ratings volume (2.2K vs 2) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Jet's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Canal RCN holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Canal RCN has 2.2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Jet's written reviews are positive against 14% of Canal RCN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Jet ships an update every 2 months, Canal RCN fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
