# TravelOK vs This Machine

The clearest difference is update cadence: This Machine at weekly against TravelOK's every 3 months. This Machine also leads on review sentiment (63% vs 47%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). TravelOK's advantage is ratings volume (6.1K vs 235). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TravelOK holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TravelOK has 6.1K ratings behind it against 235, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of TravelOK's written reviews are positive against 63% of This Machine's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TravelOK ships an update every 3 months, This Machine weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
