# Flashcards Maker vs Brian

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Flashcards Maker at 60% against Brian's 33%. Flashcards Maker also leads on ratings volume (253 vs 13). Brian's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 3.9) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flashcards Maker sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month and Brian sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.49 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Brian holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flashcards Maker has 253 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Flashcards Maker's written reviews are positive against 33% of Brian's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flashcards Maker ships an update every 3 weeks, Brian weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
