# VPN vs Ostrich VPN

The clearest difference is ratings volume: VPN at 177K against Ostrich VPN's 24K. On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Ostrich VPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for VPN against 4.6 for Ostrich VPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 177K ratings behind it against 24K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 84% of VPN's written reviews are positive against 88% of Ostrich VPN's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
