# Mob Armor GPS vs GPX viewer

The clearest difference is rating: Mob Armor GPS at 4.3 against GPX viewer's 3.7. Mob Armor GPS also leads on ratings volume (34 vs 9). GPX viewer's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mob Armor GPS sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per year and GPX viewer sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mob Armor GPS holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 34 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Mob Armor GPS's written reviews are positive against 75% of GPX viewer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mob Armor GPS ships an update every 6 months, GPX viewer every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
