# Third Reality vs FancyLink

The clearest difference is rating: Third Reality at 2.2 against FancyLink's 2.0. Third Reality also leads on ratings volume (29 vs 6) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). FancyLink's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (20% vs 12%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Third Reality holds the better App Store score, 2.2 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 29 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 12% of Third Reality's written reviews are positive against 20% of FancyLink's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Third Reality ships an update every 3 months, FancyLink monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
