# Engbird vs Arctic Spas DirectConnect

The clearest difference is rating: Arctic Spas DirectConnect at 2.1 against Engbird's 1.8. Arctic Spas DirectConnect also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 12.0). Engbird's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (37 vs 7). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Arctic Spas DirectConnect holds the better App Store score, 2.1 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Engbird has 37 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of Engbird's written reviews are positive against 11% of Arctic Spas DirectConnect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Engbird ships an update every 6 weeks, Arctic Spas DirectConnect every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
