# Blocks vs Smash Down

The clearest difference is ads: Blocks at none against Smash Down's shown. Blocks also leads on review sentiment (74% vs 62%) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 15.0). Smash Down's advantage is ratings volume (2.7K vs 142). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Blocks sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Smash Down sells 16 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Blocks against 4.7 for Smash Down. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smash Down has 2.7K ratings behind it against 142, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 74% of Blocks's written reviews are positive against 62% of Smash Down's.
