# DJI Ronin vs OnsiteIQ Capture

The clearest difference is rating: DJI Ronin at 4.7 against OnsiteIQ Capture's 4.3. DJI Ronin also leads on ratings volume (8.2K vs 6) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). OnsiteIQ Capture's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (43% vs 30%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DJI Ronin holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DJI Ronin has 8.2K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of DJI Ronin's written reviews are positive against 43% of OnsiteIQ Capture's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DJI Ronin ships an update every 2 months, OnsiteIQ Capture every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
