# MentalUP vs Twin Code Lab

The clearest difference is rating: MentalUP at 4.7 against Twin Code Lab's 3.9. MentalUP also leads on ratings volume (38K vs 7) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). Twin Code Lab's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 24) and review sentiment (84% vs 71%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MentalUP sells 20 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Twin Code Lab asks for nothing beyond the download.

MentalUP holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MentalUP has 38K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of MentalUP's written reviews are positive against 84% of Twin Code Lab's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MentalUP ships an update fortnightly, Twin Code Lab every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
