# Standard Notes vs Anytype

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Standard Notes at 3.8K against Anytype's 245. Standard Notes also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Anytype's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Standard Notes sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $119.99 per year and Anytype sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Standard Notes holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Standard Notes has 3.8K ratings behind it against 245, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 64% and 64% positive.

Standard Notes ships an update every 5 weeks, Anytype fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
