# Confirmed VPN vs MaxiVPN

The clearest difference is monetization model: MaxiVPN at free with in-app purchases against Confirmed VPN's subscription. Confirmed VPN's advantage is ratings volume (403 vs 5) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Confirmed VPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and MaxiVPN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Confirmed VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Confirmed VPN has 403 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Confirmed VPN ships an update every 3 weeks, MaxiVPN monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
