# Funko vs Pop Figures

The clearest difference is monetization model: Pop Figures at free against Funko's free with in-app purchases. Pop Figures also leads on review sentiment (33% vs 19%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Funko's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (576 vs 76). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 2.7 for Funko against 2.8 for Pop Figures. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Funko has 576 ratings behind it against 76, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 19% of Funko's written reviews are positive against 33% of Pop Figures's.

Funko ships an update monthly, Pop Figures every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
